Rosie Blackadder is a playwright and screenwriter originally from Northamptonshire.

Her debut satirical play Higher Ups received funding from Arts Council England and was heralded as ★★★★ “delightfully bonkers” by London Theatre 1.

After training at the University of Birmingham, her comedic and often female-led work has been long-listed for national Sitcom Awards. performed live and described as “Over-the-top, sharp, timely and non-stop funny” (Tulpa).

In 2024, was selected to be part of the BFI Stories to Shorts cohort in 2024 and in 2025 she was awarded a place on the prestigious Writing TV Drama course with Curtis Brown Creative.

She also creates short-form comedy content for social media, with her meme account gaining 200 million views and 20 million likes in 1 year.
